Community standards

How we handle reports, what we report on, and how you can avoid suspensions and resolve issues.

What we report on

Content in chat and streams can be reported under these categories. We use the exact content (message or timestamp) when we take action.

  • Harassment
  • Spam
  • Hate speech
  • Inappropriate content
  • Violence
  • Self-harm
  • Copyright
  • Other

What happens when content is reported

You receive a notification with the exact content and category. You can remediate before moderators take action. We never show who reported you.

Thresholds (when we take action)

  • First report / low severity: You get a notice and can remediate (delete message, remove content, or request review).
  • Repeated or higher severity: Report is escalated; you have a deadline to remediate or a moderator will review.
  • Serious or repeated violations: Warning → short suspension → longer suspension → ban. Each step states what we did and why.

How to avoid suspensions and bans

  • Remediate when you get a "content reported" notice: delete the chat message, remove or edit the stream segment, or submit for review if you disagree.
  • Avoid repeat violations; repeated infractions increase severity.
  • Submitting false reports can lead to your own suspension (we track unfounded reports).

How to remediate

  • Chat: Delete the reported message (link/button in the notification or Settings → Content reports). Once verified, the warning can be cleared automatically.
  • Stream: Remove or edit the reported segment; confirm when done, or request a review if you believe the report is wrong.
  • Request a review: If you think the report is incorrect, choose "Apply for review"; a support ticket is created and staff will review the specific content.

If you are already suspended or banned

  • You were told the specific reason and content in the notification.
  • To remediate a suspension: complete the remediation (e.g. delete the content) if still possible, then contact support or use "Apply for review"; staff can revoke early if appropriate.
  • Paid subscribers: Your subscription is paused while suspended — you do not lose paid days; it resumes when the suspension ends.
